Côtes du Rhône Rouge

From the heart of the Rhône valley this is a lively red wine made without any added sulphur. A 50:50 blend of local staples Grenache and Syrah, it’s an appealing ruby red colour with garnet tints and on the nose there’s wild strawberries, vanilla and black pepper. As is often the case with unsulphured wines, it’s quite vivacious with well-integrated tannins, and generous red fruit and spice on the palate. Pair it with Pâté en Croûte, Spaghetti Bolognese (meat or veg) or a cheese board.
