Nero d’Avola ‘Nedda’, Baglio D

Although we’ve listed the hugely popular Era Nero d’Avola 266 for many years, we’ve long wanted to offer a more serious take on this Sicilian red grape.

Baglio Diar’s fits the bill perfectly. It’s made in a weightier and more complex style having had 3 months ageing in small oak barrels. Medium in both colour, body and strength, it has appealing black fruit and prune on the nose. In the mouth there’s more blackberry fruit, a nutty aspect and supple tannins. Pair it with grilled meat, or stuffed vegetables or allow it to upgrade your barbecue!
