A delicious fruity white grown in Cuenca (east of Madrid), rather than Rueda, the usual heartland for Verdejo, the increasingly popular Spanish variety. Aromas of citrus and pears, good acidity, notes of tropical flowers, and a pleasingly lengthy finish. Pairs well with most chicken and fish dishes, and superbly with fresh summer salads.
